Winter 2024 patch notes
The ScotRail 158 update is almost here, check out the full change list!
Coming in this new patch, we have a series of fixes/improvements, as well as Train Sim World 5 functionality & a new livery for the ScotRail Class 158. Notable additions include:
- Added Train Sim World 5 Guard Mode functionality
- Added custom Leven Link livery
- Significantly expanded Edinburgh to Glasgow ‘Sprinter’ timetable

Fixes/Improvements:
- Expanded playable services in the Edinburgh to Glasgow ‘Sprinter’ timetable
– Made ScotRail Class 170 services driveable between Glasgow and Croy
– Made Inter7City HST services driveable between Glasgow and Croy
– Made LNER services driveable between Edinburgh and Polmont
– Added Railhead Treatment Train services operating diagram 3S93 throughout the area at night
– Added ScotRail Class 380 into Edinburgh to Glasgow diagrams and made it driveable
– Added the Express Freight DLC operating realistic services and made it driveable
– Added the Flying Scotsman operating a Rail Tour service and made it driveable
– Added Avanti West Coast Class 390 services operating into Edinburgh Waverley as AI only
– Added more Perth, Dundee and Leven services operating into Edinburgh Waverley as AI only
- Removed “Wait” instructions at the start of all passenger services due to conflicts with Guard Mode
- Improved passenger window tint
- Fixed missing door button illumination in vestibules
- Fixed dynamic gangways moving out of place
Other:
- Enabled ability to sit in Secondman seat in the cab
- Reauthored headlight proving panel lights
- Removed automation of cab light illuminating after sunset
- Removed collision preventing player passing between two coupled 158 units
- Replaced service iR11 with 1R03 in Edinburgh to Glasgow Sprinter Journey Mode
