May 2025 patch notes
The new Midland Main Line update is arriving today, check out the full change list!
Notable additions include:
- Train Sim World 5 Guard Mode functionality for the Class 158
- Drivable Intermodal services for Cargo Line Vol.3
- Numerous visual improvements across the route and trains

Route:
- Added Aircraft Obstruction lights to the thin chimney at Ratcliffe Power Station
- Added Stay Calm campaign posters at Leicester, Derby and Nottingham stations
- Added steam emission back to Ratcliffe power station
- Changed Intermodal services to be player drivable with Cargo Line Vol.3 Intermodal
- Expanded support for forthcoming Cargo Line packs
- Fixed arch bridge LOD causing bad shadow and visual spikes at distance
- Fixed distant visuals of signal gantries so they don’t turn white
- Fixed floating bench at Syston station
- Implemented TSW5 track shadow tech
- Implemented water material tech
- Improved static stock at Beeston yard
The Stay Calm Campaign posters are now featured in Derby, Nottingham & Leicester stations!

We are #LevelUpMentalHealth partners with Safe in our World, which is a video games industry initiative, where the aim is to grow awareness of mental health and to show we are committed to creating a safe and supportive working environment & supporting mental health and wellbeing. We’re delighted to display the Stay Calm posters on our very own Midland Main Line route to raise further awareness of this mental health charity.
Class 158:
- Added TSW5 Guard Mode
- Added dynamic gangways
- Fixed cab gangways preventing passage when in motion
- Fixed camera height of Secondman seat
- Fixed half the lights in the passenger saloon not being illuminated
- Fixed interior lights LODing out after a short distance
- Improved interior lighting learnt from ScotRail Class 158
- Improved support for Free Roam consist placement and Formation Designer
- Removed all 20sec wait tasks at the start passenger services due to conflict with the operation of Guard Mode functionality
High Speed Train:
- Improved material when wet to be consistent with the Mk3 coaches
- Improved support for Free Roam consist placement and Formation Designer
- Fixed ability to add decals to Mk3 coaches in the 2+6 and 2+8 livery designer options
- Updated vehicle order in Livery Designer so that scrolling left or right is logical
