Skyhook Games – Mastered Bootcamp!
At Skyhook Games, we’ve always been committed to offering continuous development opportunities for all of our staff. At the beginning of 2025, the studio invested in a training bootcamp for the entire team! We partnered with Mastered to deliver a Games Development Skills Bootcamp!
Running from January to April 2025, the team completed 60 hours of guided learning over the course of 16 weeks. We all had access to structured training through a combination of 1:1 mentoring, group workshops, and instructor-led sessions centred around enhancing technical & creative skills!
One of the great parts of the program were the three face-to-face sessions! We had two in the Skyhook Games Studio, and one in Liverpool’s Albert Dock. These sessions provided a great opportunity for all of us to come together, as we are a hybrid studio we don’t get to do this very often so these days always fly by!

The Final Session
Our last training day saw the whole team combine once again at the Skyhook Games Studio for a series of engaging activities, followed by a reflection on what we have learnt & taken away from the last 16 weeks!
To celebrate completing the bootcamp, we all gathered in the Arts Bar downstairs, before wrapping up the day with a team meal at Pizza Express! Our training had certainly brought us all closer together as a company, so we wanted to continue the social aspect we developed along the way.
We’d like to thank everyone at Mastered for delivering the training to us over the last few months. We’ve already started putting our learnings into use and are excited to see how they shape the future of Skyhook. Also, a big thank you to our amazing team for their dedication to the program. Time to put this into practise!
