Lawn Mowing Simulator 2 — How to Write a Quality Bug Report

A quality bug report will help us save time by providing us with as much relevant information up front as possible.

Sometimes issues are unique to the hardware you are using, and it helps us to identify the potential cause of an issue.

A short, descriptive title and a detailed summary of the issue help us to assess the severity and the potential cause of the issue.
The expected behavior might also be useful for example, ‘when I do ‘A’, I expect ‘B’ to happen, but instead ‘C’ happened.

Sometimes it is difficult to identify the cause of an issue if we’re unable to recreate it. Knowing what steps to take to reproduce a fault consistently, can go a long way to helping us figure out and address its cause. The more detailed these steps are, the better.
Even if it cannot be reproduced reliably, the steps that led you to the problem can still be useful.

There are cases where a saved game might give us more insight into the cause of an issue. Therefore, we may request a saved game file from time to time.

There are cases where an issue can only be reproduced with certain hardware and/or driver versions. A DxDiag can provide information specific to your hardware setup that may be of use.

log files

In case of crashes, freezes, or similar, log files can pinpoint fame file activity leading up the the event, so we can assess the situation from there. In tough cases, we might even need a memory dump. Therefore, it can be helpful to include log / dump files, whenever crashes, freezes, or similar events occur.

how to create a dxdiag

Win+R will open a dialogue.
Enter dxdiag and confirm the dialogue.
A new dialogue will pop up and gather system information.
Once the dialogue is done loading, press “Save All Information…” and save it as a *.txt file.

log file locations

The directory can be found here:
C:Users%USERNAME%AppDataLocalLowSkyhook GamesLMS2

Note: This directory is normally hidden by Windows. You might need to adjust your settings in File Explorer by ticking the following option:
… > Options > View > Show hidden files, folders, and drives

how to create a memory dump file

Open the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc.
Find the process called LMS2.exe in the Details tab.
Create the dump file by right-clicking the process and selecting Create memory dump file.
- Note: This step might take a while.
Once created, a window will display the file path and an option to copy that address. The default file location is usually C:Users%USERNAME%AppDataLocalTempLMS2.DMP.
- Note: This directory is normally hidden by Windows. You might need to adjust your settings in File Explorer by ticking the following option:
  … > Options > View > Show hidden files, folders, and drives
Navigate to the path with your File Explorer and sort by date to find the dump file at the top.
