About the job

You’ll be responsible for: 

  • Managing all outsourcing activities and ‘work for hire’ requirements within Skyhook  
  • Sourcing, identifying and coordinating talent into our studio  
  • Managing and updating our internal database of contractors and outsourcing partners 
  • Communicating with external clients and internal artists to ensure workflow and milestone targets are met 
  • Providing feedback to internal artists regarding artwork and defining requirements 
  • Assisting the production team in regards to all outsourcing support and logistics of contracts 
  • Identifying project needs and ensuring the pipeline of work is maintained 
  • Building relationships with external clients and internal teams across multiple projects 
  • Assisting the team with any issues that may arise 
  • Hands on production and delivery of artwork as required 

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Proven experience within an outsourcing manager/outsource producer role, or equivalent
  • Experience in providing feedback to clients and artists on artwork and workflow
  • Previous experience of working in a team and providing effective and constructive feedback
  • Good working knowledge of wide-ranging industry standard 2D and 3D software
  • Proven knowledge and expertise of all fundamental art disciplines
  • A strong eye for detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Previous exposure to art outsourcing, preferably as a vendor

Not essential, but it helps if you have: 

  • Experience of working with remote teams and multiple gaming platforms 
  • Familiar with using task tracking software, such as JIRA
