As a growing game development and art outsourcing studio, Skyhook work on a variety of fantastic games. As Outsourcing Manager you will be working closely with external clients and internal teams to lead and coordinate various outsourcing projects. The Outsourcing Manager will be expected to take ownership of “work for hire” enquiries and manage these projects to ensure expectations are met and exceeded. This role will be expected to support projects across a multitude of platforms and genres.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • Managing all outsourcing activities and ‘work for hire’ requirements within Skyhook
  • Managing and liaising with all contractors and outsourcing partners
  • Being the point of contact for all outsourcing enquiries
  • Establishing and maintaining client relationships
  • Communicating with external clients and internal artists to ensure workflow and milestone targets are met
  • Coordinating teams to ensure project milestones and delivery deadlines are met
  • Attending industry and networking events as required
  • Tracking progress and identifying areas for improvements, and solutions, for any risks or issues
  • Ensuring each partner complies with contract terms
  • Providing feedback and recommending best practice solutions to satisfy needs of external clients
  • Validating estimates for the work to be done based on design specification, production design, concept art, tools and production methods
  • Assisting the production team in regards to all outsourcing support and logistics of contracts
  • Identifying project needs and ensuring the pipeline of work and talent is maintained
  • Seeking opportunities to develop new partnerships with new clients and contractors
  • Attending regular update meetings with internal departments and clients to review progress
  • Coordinating talent into our studio

Any additional duties/ expectations as an employee of the company above and beyond specific job role  


  • Proven experience within an outsourcing manager/outsourcing relations/games recruitment role, or equivalent
  • Experience in providing feedback to clients and artists on artwork and workflow
  • A strong eye for detail and excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A passion for games and their development


  • Previous exposure to art outsourcing, preferably as a vendor
